I'm an Indy (Independant) SF writer who needs a book cover. Being indy I can't pay very much but can also give you full credit for your artwork on the book and even a page inside where you can advertise your work, website etc.
The book will start as an ebook but hopefully I'll be able to get some done in print form too and I'll send you a copy (anywhere on the planet) for free.
The cover needs to show a space background with very little to see, perhaps an unknown planet or moon/star in the far distance whilst in the foreground, say bottom right, the upper part of a spaceship. It needs to be grungy, travel-worn and show the faded emblem of a flying horse (Pegasus) the ship's name but no printed words. Perhaps on the far left (which will be the cover's back page, a small version of a sister ship showing its full outline. The ship looks roughly like a Colt Army 45. The upper main half contains the one-man crew and some weaponry while the lower, the handle/magazine, is the engine. It is this shape because the ship's engines, due to their nature in the story, cannot enter atmosphere, therefore for the ship to make planetfall it leaves the engines/handle/magazine in orbit.
Thanks everyone, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
